Took it to see Mr MOT, had to do all the work for him as he can’t get it on/off the stand or start it.
DIY MOT”s are great,
Passes no problems, quick blast round Wiltshire then home.....I’m still worried, it keeps starting no problem.
Just noticed a bit of a leak from the sump, need to check it out.
Anyone else in Wiltshire?

The bike is back together, started 2nd kick.I refitted a Champion spark plug as I find these plugs more reliable than the NGK ones.
About 6 hours work to complete the change over.
I'm going to run it up a few times then remove the tank, check for oil leaks and give the engine a de-grease with Jizer...
Happy days!

Took the MT out for a good test ride yesterday evening, rode up chalk pit lane to the top of the Trundle hill by Goodwood race coarse, bike went well,no difference really from how the engine was prior to the barrel/piston change, possibly a little quieter but nothing else.
Was wanting to ride the MT today but looked at it this morning and I've got a bloody puncture!!!
Two new tubes coming tomorrow, sods law is I have 3 new front tubes but no rears!!!

Fitted my new rear tube tonight, thought I'd take a closer look at the knackered punctured tube,.
Blew the thing up so as a good photo was possible.
You can see that the cause of the puncture was from the tyre securing rubber clamp!
I'm now wondering if it's worth having it fitted for the kind of use I do on the bike.
I will remove it if I get another puncture in the same place, add or remove wheel balance weights if I need to.
My Norton Commando and several bonnivilles never had them.
What do you think?
