Gents , just for the record I can say that Mr Shiney is no longer a member of the MTRC , so this explains why he won't be replying to this thread as you may have expected him to . So i think it best we don't further this discussion on him , in the interests of fair play .

Thanks
Ian

I’ve now restored three MTs to a very high standard from a starting point where I had next to no knowledge about the bikes. I’ve been helped immensley by Nick and his lad at Force Motorcycles, Gary at Sportax and George with his fantastic stainless parts. However, fettling wise, whenever I’ve been stuck or unsure what I’ve been doing, needed something welding, specialty tools or just help, the person I met through this club who has always said ‘bring it over’ is Mr Shiney, who has never charged me for his services. I’ve also been at his place when others like me have turned up with their MT problems.
