Sticking clutch plates

I have just acquired my third Bombardier with under 3k genuine miles. I am really pleased with it. I have had in the past 5 years 2 other Bombardiers which were sold some time ago. All three bikes had and have the same problem. If left to stand for any time - sometimes only a week the clutch plates stick together. My present bike is not as bad as the previous 2 and I can usually free the plates by putting the bike in first gear and rocking it back and forwards for a few minutes. Is this a common problem. Any solutions. The clutch is working fine once freed off.

Have you
stripped the clutch
Filed out any notches in the clutch basket
Cleaned plates
Measured plate thicknesses , steels and friction, they should be flat with no warping
Measured total stack height
Measured spring length ( Personally I'd renew them anyway)
Is oil the correct specification? There are newer oils available since the Canam was built so an appropriate modern oil may help (MT s are often run on semi-synthetic oil, racers use fully synthetic)
Is oil changed to specified mileage and time limits

If you don't want to do this yourself, take it to Sportax. There may be other Canam specialists, I doubt whether your local bike shop would have the manuals to know what the specifications should be but they are available from Paul ? ( I think his forum name is 250....?)

I have no experience of Canam, your problems may just be normal , but I have taken MT350 clutches apart, done the above and solved the problems you describe
