Armstrong Bobber, anyone?

For all that relates to both Armstrong MT 500 and Harley Davidson MT 350

Armstrong Bobber, anyone?

Post by Bonnielad » Mon Jul 08, 2019 8:05 pm

In the July edition of the Old Bike Mart is advertised:
Armstrong Rotax (Bobber). 485cc. Ex-Army. first registered 2003. On Sorn. ÂŁ850. Tel 01484 663007. West Yorkshire. Email dougandbabs@ntworld.com

This text is an exact copy of the ad. 01484 is a Huddersfield code. I suspect the email is a misprint and should read @ntlworld. There is a photo of it. Fortunately the photo only measures 1" square. Good taste (and a lack of technical ability) precludes me from re-posting it.
It has a single seat. Low exhaust. Chopped rear and raked front end but the basic mechanics look unaltered as far as I can tell. I felt so sorry for the poor thing I almost wanted to buy it out of sympathy.
Still. Somebody might love it so I thought I would pass it on.

Years ago i bought some parts of a Cheshire? forum member (lapsed now I'm sure) He chopped an MT just for the heck of it. Not really my taste but it was different so a talking point at a bike meet for sure. Riding off a tarmac surface not recommended !
