The war and peace show is expensive. And it has moved to Folkestone but would make an ideal big meet venue,

Is there anything midlands based? How about the Telford classic dirt bike show?..

How about linking in with the Military Vehicles Trust? They might be sympathetic and willing.

It's not expensive. Ă‚ÂŁ25 for any military vehicle including 2 riders for 5 days camping.

Unless I'm misreading the website.

I'm probably going to go this year.

Shall we see if we can get an informal MTRiders Group organised?

I'm happy for a field, that we can gather in.

BUT

How about a field we can camp in near an off road site that does pay & play, hire a track for the Sat and play, learn what you can do on the bike.

I like the idea of having some tat stalls to fleece us too so linked to some show would be nice. The steam shows often have military stuff and they do ride around the arena type thing so the punters can see us in force. Minter and some others could come in on the back wheel

This is one I used to go to a lot years ago and was always good. http://www.1000engines.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; The application form has bikes on it too!! http://www.1000engines.co.uk/files/EXHIBITOR.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

So here's a question - if we were to try and have a meet at the war and peace show - would we be restricted to bringing only bikes in standard military trim and colours ? , and indeed would the organisers expect us personally to be in correct military uniform for that era ?
It is important to us that any MTRC member can attend a club event, irrespective of colour of MT and modifications etc

That may be an idea? A recon this year.

I agree Folkestone isn't ideal but Stafford was too early and often bloody cold.

Reading the info on the W&P site, there are no restrictions on attendance.

No requirement to wear uniform, or to have a replica vehicle.

I think the aim is to get as many ex-military vehicles on site as possible. The reenactment people do all the uniformed stuff. Last year there were approx 5,000 military vehicles.

What is probably important is that we all register under MTRIDERS club, so that we are all in the same place for camping.

Has anyone been to War and Peace previously who knows what the setup is?
