mt 500 rear brake arm.

Anyone have a spare rear brake arm ... My one is wrong .. I think they should be an alloy curved item maybe with grimeca embossed on it ? .. Thanks.

Compare yours to some of the photos you'll find on here. I have never seen a curved one with a Grimeca stamp. Search on here for the workshop manual and you will find an exploded picture to give you some idea. Also, take a look on the suppliers websites (Force or LMS Lichfield) as the right one might be shown in their parts list. I bought one from LMS recently.

Some of the early ones had plain brake arms but after 'C' reg they're mainly marked 'Grimeca' ones that Steve hasn't been looking hard enough for.

That's the type, my current one is steel and straight but the splined area leave's 5mm or so of the shaft exposed to the elements .. Thanks for the link.

Sorry Marcus. My mistake. I had it in my head you was talking about the torque arm locating the backplate to the swinging arm :oops:

No problems, I have now bought one from Lichfield's . Just the noisy rumbly clutch to sort next.
