How long does the battery last, Stu? Is it possible to have several batteries and chance them, when on longer tour or is it possible to charge battery when riding and using camera same time?

If you want long battery life then take a look at this link. I have one on my GoPro 4 and it outlasts the 128gb data card which records 8-9hrs! Its fully waterproof.

They ship to the UK and it was really cheap like five bucks!!

The battery lasts around 2 hours, I have 2 spare batteries which I change when I need to.

I bought 2 spare batteries on ebay for about ÂŁ13 I think. They are Chinese copies and come with a standalone battery charger too. They work just as well as the official Sony batteries which are quite expensive.
