Dear Cornish Division
Dear Cornish Division
Dear Cornish Division ,
I am currently in Padstow with my family and various in-laws, so would like to take the opportunity to apologise in advance for my behaviour whilst I am here.
Whilst I will stuff my face with cream teas, fish and chips and anything else remotely local and edible (including a seagull if I can ever catch one), I may, in the process of doing so;
- clog your streets as a pedestrian or driver by stopping for no reason
- shout at my children / wife / in laws to "cheer up because we are on holiday" as loudly as possible so that anyone within a two mile radius can hear
- pronounce all of your village names incorrectly
- ride a push bike in the same manner as driving a car (terribly)
- be incredibly racist as I moan about all of the Germans, french and Dutch doing all of the above.
You have a beautiful part of the world. Why do you let us tourists in?
Yours sincerely
Daj

Re: Dear Cornish Chapter
Daj, they are a very understanding race in Cornwall. Do not think that behaviour would be remotely tolerated in equally ( or more beautiful ) North Yorkshire.

Re: Dear Cornish Division
Daj.
You and your family are most welcome in our beautiful county, just don't forget to spend your money. The camel trail is a nice afternoon spent, well it would be, in decent weather.
Proper Cornwall is further west than where you guys are , Padstow is a little too commercial for us locals.
Pasties and a cream tea are a must. If you get withdrawal symptoms there is a good bike night at Cornwall services just up the road on a Thursday night.
Enjoy your stay
Cheers Jacko

Thanks Jacko. As for the money side of things my wallet has sprung a haemorrhage so no worries there!

Re: Dear Cornish Division
Not everyone can cope with Yorkshire. i was once accused of being too direct and rude, so I told him "Maybe this is something you're not used to; it's called honesty"
Mind you, I think Doug might survive.... if we could understand him
