They do convert well, there are loads of kits out there and options for tanks. BUT i wouldnt touch that landy!! its a ringer. That looks to be an original 1984-6 11 county station wagon with the vin plate off a 1963 series motor.. no way is that legal. there is not one part of that which would count on the system to qualify to retain the 1963 reg.
you need to have specific parts to qualify,
Chassis, axels, brake, transmission, suspension, steering, are those components.

None of that can possibly be on that vehicle.

My military Carawagon 109 is coverted to LPG 7 years ago,
This is the best modification I had.
Here in the Netherlands most petrol Land Rovers are coverted.

Cheers for the replies fellas. I've always been a bit suspect of LPG conversion, but it seems to be getting more and more popular.

I was exploring the possibility of getting a bigger car for when the new baby arrives in May. But nothing appeals for the budget I have (2pence, a cotton reel and a shiney new button). So I was a bit surprised to see an LPG landy, done another search today on e-bay and there's quite a few.

Cheers again
