Can-Am Bombardier 250 FOR SALE.

Post by Brusher » Fri Aug 09, 2019 4:05 pm

My Can-Am is now reluctantly up for sale.
Manufactured in 1979 and first registered for the road in 1987.
7952 recorded miles.
Currently SORNED, the bike last held an MOT in 2017, with less than 200 miles covered since then.
I’ve worked on this Bike over the past few years as an ongoing project, but now it has to go to a new home.

Starts first kick every time.

The following work was completed in 2017 :

Seat recovered.

Fitted an extra heavy duty battery eliminator from Rex’s Speed Shop to replace battery.

New Reg/Rec

New Magura Brake Levers

Mud Guard Extenders fitted

New NJB Rear Shocks

New CDI

New Magneto

Clutch Cable

New Silencer End Cap

All engine seals and most bearings have been replaced with new items over the last few years.

The following is included in the sale:

Two different Workshop manuals.

Laminated British Army Training School maintenance summary.

A Box of bits including various parts including indicators, mirrors etc.

What still needs attention: Speedo cable needs replacing and some wiring still needs sorting out to connect the brake light.

I’m asking £1100.

I’m located in the New Forest. Hampshire

Happy to answer any questions. Photographs available on request. PM me if you want any further details.

Yes, I would imagine it's ex British Army. The matt green body work kinda gives it away! I've never bothered to get a history from the MOD.

I've imagined I've shagged Jane Fonda, but then I woke up.

Anyone can paint a bike green, doesn't make it ex MOD.

Ta,
Does this not seem like like a reasonable assumption for a british registered non-import bike?

Not painted, olive green plastic. As far as I'm aware, never a civilian colour.

Happy to help ;)
