Suspension swap completely transformed it, runs straight and true.

Van is excellent, every tool you'll ever need and an everlasting supply of hoses. :D

regular trip begins .north to south devon ride ..broke cam belt 0815,fixed by much weekly.a377.then kickstart fell apart. sheared. no spare.bump start, fueled telegraph hill then epic pushing in backwards tipy toe three times the torquay signed exit road before succesfull bump start in first odly.any one tried pulling tyre whilst on centre stand to bump start?.then uneventfull late night ride to base.after an awsume day with daughter :D need spare cambelt. starter cickstart.and apair of tyres

fitted new reasonable cost kickstart.its curved not streight but it works.gonna weld me old kickstart for practice.be prepered, thinking of draining out the screaming eagle oil i was given by a one lunged harly rider.....the revs have picked up and its sneezing oil out of me new air filter..be carefull of synthi additive oil chaps and chappets

I have been too smug with a working speedo on the MT500 for too long - damn odo just failed, couldn't bare to cut the case in half though - made a fixture to open and re-swage the bezel, took much longer to make the tool than do the job!!!
Looks like the gears on the end of the barrels are the weak point - am thinking about 3D printing a replacement.

A notoriously weak MT part. The military solution was just draw a new speedo from stores Whilst a quick fix back in the day, 30 years on when spares are all but exhausted, it's a different situation. Many owners have struggled to repair them Good luck with your fix

sahara 3 tyres .fxxxxxxinxxxxxxx ite ,front tyre suffered inner tube cuts x4,, patches sealed x3 ,1 x leaking bugger.waiting for new inner tube....shopping list gets bigger.its like a restoration every ride :D :roll: im still exited at me matching rubber bits :geek:
