Re: Bike in the South West- tidy MT500 or maybe an MT350

Get drum brakes set up properly and you'll have more braking effort than you can actually use i.e. you'll be able to lock the front wheel. If you can lock the front wheel on dry tarmac then disc or drum is irrelevant as friction between the tyre and road will be the limiting factor. 350's do have s...

Re: sweating oil while driving MT 350.

I had contact with Force Motorcycles about the oil sweating while driving my MT 350. He thinks it is the oil seal of the bottom timing pulley that is sweating oil. So i also with fit a new seal on the bottom timing pulley Check for slop in that bearing, if it moves under pressure then it's a sign y...

Re: Stainless Exhaust fitted.

Hi Ian. I can only conclude that the aftermarket inlet stubs welded onto the actual headers are in fact too short in the length. Hope the grinding mods are going well. There are stainless steel flat sided collets that are designed to be used with the new exhaust, and they tighten up without issue, ...

Re: Project MT Clown Bike

I may have a 500 dash and pod that's still usable, I also have a complete and working OEM 500 left hand switchgear, although I wasn't planning on parting with it, I think I may have an alternative.

Re: Introduction

Welcome, another April is ETX owner here, fitted mine with a 604 motor and turned it into a monster. The bikes were well ahead of their time. Wow! Re: Left form leg MT350

...the damping spring is loose within the fork. I can’t seem to upload any photos as apparently the file sizes are too big to attach? Does anyone know how to fix this or I could send by WhatsApp if needed? My guess is that you have no oil in the damper. If you drain the remaining fork oil, either t...

Re: your first meet

My first MY riders meet was either in Downton in the school where I went to ride but ended up fixing Matt Foxs clutch instead, and returned home with my bike trailer strapped to the roof of my van...... Or it was one of Ellriders South Wales gathering....... Not sure which as I usually remember arri...

Re: 350 or 500 frame

You can fit a bigger battery in an Armstrong by taking the battery tray out, and mounting a two battery on its side. ;)
