Welcome to the forum

We had a Scammel that REME used for recovery. An impressive piece of kit, but top speed was about 24mph !

Welcome Andy. Look around the forum, there is a lot of information. If you can't find answers to your questions then post in the appropriate section and I'm sure you will soon get answers.

I had a Scammell Explorer in my REME workshop supporting 75 Eng Regt (V). It was always the first vehicle sent out when the Regiment moved in convoy as it took so long to get to the end of the route. It had to stop every 30 miles to grease the joints.
