I have welded a few cast iron fins for my mate who builds classic bikes and I must have been lucky they didn't crack. Done lots of ally ones which are easy compared to cast iron. Its also pot lock if the casting is pure or contains impurities. Got a cylinder liner done by SEP and they did a good job...

Even with the special rods the chance of success is only about 50%.
I think a T140 is the best looking brit bike ever. 8-)

Most standard exhaust silencers will fit with a link pipe available from Sportax. So I would find an after market silencer with stated decibels and removable baffle. Or you can buy decibel eliminators separately. Although the more you restrict the exhaust gases it will effect the running and perform...
